The patient care team at FIRST Rehab believes that it is important to instruct and guide patients through the rehabilitative process.   The FIRST Rehab team is led by Jennifer Volpe, MPT  Physical Therapist and Erika Depino, DPT Physical Therapist.  Our highly trained therapists focus on educating and guiding the patients through their injuries to prevent future occurrences.  Our ultimate goal is to help patients perform at their highest level at home, at work, or on the sports field.

Jennifer Volpe, MPT

Physical Therapist

Jennifer is a graduate of the University of Florida, obtaining her Bachelor’s degree in Health Science with a minor in Health Science Education in 2001. She obtained her Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy in 2002.  Jennifer has taken several continuing education courses in myofascial release, manual therapy and spinal mechanics and mobilizations. Jennifer has been interested in health professions since she was a child because she has always been interested in helping people in a meaningful way. Her interests include working out, traveling, spending time with her family and food/wine.

Jaime Held, MPT
Physical Therapist

Jaime is a graduate of the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Health Science in 2000 and a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy in 2001.  Jaime has specialized in orthopedics and sports related injuries over the past 11 years.  She has worked with many high school, collegiate and professional athletes; including golfers, football and baseball players.  Jaime has completed several continuing education courses in manual therapy, pilates,
joint & spinal mobilizations.  She has also been a clinic instructor for physical therapy and
physical therapy assistant students.  Her interest in physical therapy began in high school from
playing sports and volunteering in hospitals and outpatient PT clinics.  Outside of work Jaime
enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter.  Jaime enjoys running, working out, playing
tennis, golf, reading, traveling and wine.

Kari Robitaille, MPT
Physical Therapist

Kari Robitaille earned her Master of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Florida in 2002. Originally from South Florida, Kari has spent the last 8 years working in the Washington DC area and has recently returned to South Florida. She has 10 years of experience treating a variety of orthopedic conditions. Her main focus is in the sports medicine population. Kari has extensive training in musculoskeletal biomechanics with an emphasis on the lower extremity,
including foot and ankle conditions with a focus on gait analysis and running. In addition, she has training in casting for custom made orthotics. During her time in DC, Kari worked closely with the running population, treating novice runners to elite racers. She has worked as a PT consultant for a national race training organization, and for a chain of specialty running stores. Kari enjoys promoting her profession through mentoring and community involvement. She is an APTA Certified Clinical Instructor and has served as a clinical advisor to numerous PT students from
around the country. She has also been actively involved in the local college community
presenting educational in-services, performing PT school interviews, and participating in health
and fitness fairs. Kari has participated in many races across the country including the San Diego
Rock & Roll Marathon, Men’s Health Chicago Urbanathalon, and numerous half-marathons and
10-milers in DC and Florida. Besides running, Kari loves spending time doing outdoor activities
such as golfing, playing tennis, and fishing.

Mark Goolgasian, PTA
Physical Therapist Assistant

Mark is a graduate of Quinnipiac College where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science. He later went on to South College where he received his degree in Physical Therapy Assisting. Mark has worked for years recovering human tissue for transplantation along with ten years experience at the First Rehab clinics. His interest in physical therapy stems from his enjoyment in playing and watching sports. He prefers orthopedics due to the variety of patients and injuries ranging from athletes to total joint replacement. Outside of work his time is devoted to his wife and two children along with an occasional round of golf.

Christopher Orf, PTA

Physical Therapist Assistant

Chris is a native of South Florida, graduating from South University in West Palm Beach in 2003. Since graduation, Chris has been working in Outpatient therapy clinics helping patients recover from surgery, injury, de-conditioning and a variety of other functional deficits. Chris became
interested in physical therapy after being treated for degenerative changes in the spine. His interests include fishing, diving and skiing.
